About

A command center, not a shop window

SuperStation95 is a travel knowledge platform. We publish structured guidance organised into Stations, and we do not sell tickets, tours or accommodation.

What the name means

The name comes from the working idea behind the project: 95 Stations of Super Travel Support. A Station is a module of travel knowledge, a self-contained answer to one category of problem. The number 95 is a target for the finished library rather than a marketing flourish. It is the size at which we believe the platform covers the practical questions a traveller actually asks, without drifting into content for its own sake.

The word Super is doing less work than it appears to. It refers to the structure being above the individual article. A single article helps once. A Station helps every time you meet that class of problem.

Why the Station concept works

Most travel publishing is organised by destination. That is convenient for the publisher and inconvenient for the reader, because a traveller's problems are rarely geographic. Nobody wakes up needing to know about Portugal. They need to know whether their passport is valid, whether the museum closes on Monday, whether they can move a flight, or what to do because the flight just vanished from the board.

Organising by problem category rather than by place means the same four modules serve every destination. Route Station handles planning. Rules Station handles requirements. Change Station handles modifications. Fix Station handles failures. A trip passes through them in roughly that order, and you only open the one you need.

Our mission

To make travel decisions cheaper, calmer and better informed by publishing reference-grade guidance that is honest about uncertainty. We would rather tell you a rule is ambiguous and point you at the official source than invent a confident answer that reads well.

Editorial philosophy

We write for the reader who is about to do something, not the reader who is browsing. That produces a specific style. Answers appear near the top. Lists are used when a list is genuinely the right shape. Introductions are short, because the person reading a cancellation article is not looking for atmosphere.

We also try to say the quiet parts out loud. The astronomical clock show is underwhelming. Gate agents are not obliged to wait for you. A zero fee change is not a free change. Guidance that omits the awkward part is not guidance, it is copy.

Independence

SuperStation95 does not operate a booking engine and does not earn commission on travel you arrange. There is a reserved space on the home page for a future flight search widget, and if that is ever implemented it will be labelled clearly and will not change what we recommend. No article is sold, sponsored or placed.

Content standards

Every published article carries a review date. Where a claim comes from a regulation, a convention or a published airline policy, we identify the source rather than paraphrasing it into something friendlier. Where practice differs from policy, which happens constantly at airports, we describe both.

Corrections are treated as normal maintenance rather than embarrassment. If a rule changes or we get something wrong, the article is updated and the change is reflected in the review date. We prefer removing a recommendation to replacing it with a weaker substitute.

How the library grows

The library now runs to thirty nine in-depth pieces spread across the four Stations: itineraries in Route, reference guides in Rules, booking change guidance in Change, and disruption recovery in Fix. Each one began as a featured article that set the standard, and the rest were written to match it rather than to fill a schedule.

Growth is prioritised by how often a question comes up and how expensive getting it wrong is. A rule that costs someone a flight outranks a destination that would simply be nice to cover. We would rather publish forty articles worth keeping than three hundred worth skimming.
